(Note: the title isn’t part of the game’s dialogue, it’s actually some sort of metaphor if you think about it)
Hello hello everyone! Today marks a significant event in my works’ history! The first ever devlog! YAY!!!1!1
Well, this’ll sound kinda unfortunate to say here, but I’m not sure if I’m going to stop production with the project after this as I’ve worked very hard for some time, but I SWEAR I WAS COOKING!! AND I WILL PROVE IT RIGHT HERE AND RIGHT NOW!!
So around 3 days later (if I remember correctly) after finishing Eito’s portrait, I sketched the concept for Catalina’s house, which is where the story takes place in. I’ll be honest, it was kind of complicated due to many reasons, but I least I was able to understand at the end. And here’s a little fun fact: it’s modeled after the one I was raised in during the first years of my life (Am I the only one who does this kinda thing), but since the map is top secret as it contains major spoiler, I’m not going to show it (sorry!).
Then a little while later, I finished most part of the script. I say that because I (still) can’t decide myself for the ending even though now I have someone to help me with my writing… and yes it’s top secret too for the same reason.
And when the weekend came, I started remaking the reference sheets for the characters that I deleted back in July because their heights were outdated. First I drew the creature, whose process went smoothly as it took me nothing thanks to its very easy and simple design to the point it seemed ideal to draw. However, things were the opposite with Catalina. I was reusing the layers from the front pose to add them to rest of for the sake of accuracy (not in the perfectionist sense, I learned it from the creature), but it made me worried if I was doing it correctly or not, which was why I left a note at the top left corner. Not to mention it was very time consuming too. Here are the finished products anyway:

After being done, I was about to post them online, but all of a sudden I had the idea of making another reference that didn’t really look like one, just a quick doodle of her lying down pose and the sprite animations and poses needed, which led me to create a presentation as a guide to the other artist (that I will pause now, but I have some stuff done). It will be top secret material too for now but it might get released depending on the situation.
And yep, that’s about it!
(EDIT 10PM: I finally finished the story :DD YIPPEE!!)
